Comprised of 62 small-holder farms, this natural processed coffee is organically grown and fairly traded. The COMSA Co-op, formed in 2000, was an effort by farmers for their own community to grow and market their coffee in a sustainable way, to the international market. COMSA uses the Fair Trade premium to fund social enterprise efforts, like higher teacher salaries and school infrastructure.
In the cup, expect robust aromatics of berry and peach. The flavor bounds forward with deep apricot notes; lavender and chocolate on the finish. This is a delightful coffee for any coffee connoisseur.
