Meet Arturo and Vielmann Villatoro of Finca El Regalito 🌟
Nestled on the western side of the picturesque village of Hoja Blanca in Huehuetenango, Guatemala, lies Finca El Regalito (meaning “The Little Gift”). This extraordinary farm, rising from 1,525 to 1,800 MASL, is a reflection of family legacy, innovation, and passion for coffee cultivation.
A Family Rooted in Tradition
Finca El Regalito was established by Arturo Villatoro, a visionary farmer with a deep connection to the land. Today, it is managed by his son, Vielmann Vides Villatoro Castillo, whose journey has brought a renewed energy to the family farm. After living for 11 years in Los Angeles and working as a fruit picker, Vielmann returned to Cuilco to care for the farm, bringing with him invaluable experience and a dedication to his roots.
More Than Just a Farm
The lush slopes of Finca El Regalito are shaded by mature Chalum, Mandarín, and Capulín trees, providing ideal conditions for the Bourbon, Caturra, and Maragogype coffee varieties. Pure mountain spring water is used to process their coffee, ensuring every cup captures the pristine flavors of the region. Alongside coffee, the farm’s commitment to sustainability and community is evident in its worker housing, expanded drying patios, and a biodiversity-rich ecosystem.
A Legacy in the Making
Vielmann, alongside his wife and siblings, envisions leaving Finca El Regalito as a legacy for future generations. Together, they’ve poured their hearts into building a farm that honors tradition while embracing innovation, ensuring the continued production of exceptional coffee for years to come.
Celebrate the passion, resilience, and dedication of Finca El Regalito with every sip—crafted with love and care. ☕✨
