For those days and nights when you just need a tiny pick me up, or for those watching their caffeine intake, this Half-Caf blend is sure to become a regular part of your coffee rotation. A post-roast blend of our Decaf Colombia and Colombia Camilo, two coffees that are a product of our long-term relationships with Campesino Coffee and Paisa Coffee, LLC.
The first 50 of this blend is our decaf Colombia coffee, sourced specially by Swing’s buyers and our partners at Campesino Coffee. The decaffeination plant uses a patented method of extracting ethanol from sugar cane, which grows in abundance in the area. This method is 100% chemical-free, leaving you only the pure flavor of the coffee. So often for those sourcing decaf, the level of quality is an after-thought, if one at all. Decaffeination is expensive, so in most cases, these folks are buying the cheapest coffees available. But we believe decaf drinkers are true purists. Caffeine is not the goal, but the authentic flavor of the coffee. We think it should be the best, so we are intent on finding the best lots we can to have them go through decaffeination. Taste the true flavor of coffee with natural decaffeination made from Colombian sugar cane.
The other 50 in this blend is a house-favorite, our Colombia Camilo. This coffee comes from the Rojas Granados family plantation of 18,000 trees located at an altitude of 1,900 meters above sea level. Thanks to all the years of experience and the advantage of having healthy and rich soil, John Jairo Rojas has gotten to produce an excellent complex coffee.
